Mad props for having an answer.
I can only hope this leads to more of the ‘best of each continent’ stuff from Ford and others. We (Europeans) get the Muscle Cars, and you guys get the serious Hot Hatchbacks. Everyone wins.

Duck Commander sponsored the race, and Phil is in fact a church elder so it isn’t out of the ordinary for him to say prayer in public. It’s not like the CEO of Valvoline gave the prayer for shits and giggles; “Lord, protect our piston rings and cylinders from excessive wear.”
I don’t know of any states requiring licenses to own a long gun (rifle or shotgun). Some dates do require registration and background checks at time of purchase or transfer of ownership. So that should the firearm be used in a crime or stolen, it can be trace to its registered owner.
What license?
Rental car battle. It is the only way.
I like the constant communication.Tesla get it that way.
Who would like to place bets that -by the time the car is finally available- no one will ever want to hear “any more updates, tweets, tags, rumors or anything else about my not yet available car EVER again or so help me god i’ll kill you musk!!!!!!!!!!” ?
If he picked the Miata like he wanted, they’d still be fighting. They needed the AWD to support her trips to the mall their active lifestyle.
It’s the ground clearance that makes SUVs nice in the winter. DD’d a C6Z through a few Chicago/Northern Illinois winters and while I never had any issues driving, I had to replace some plastic parts under the car every spring. Kinda annoying when you’re just trying to make your way down a road and your car constantly…
What a load of heroes. Sure it didn’t work, but damn is it cool that it was attempted. Get mad if you want but that you ranted about it on the internet is not going to be a story to tell your grandkids, these guys on the other hand did something memorable with their week.
I give them credit for using the cars—as if keeping them in heated garages under covers and only taking them out for short cruises on sunny weekends is so “manly”.
Jalopnik: *complains people lock up expensive cars in temperature-controlled garages*
“haggle-free used car dealers like CarMax are so appealing; they reduce the price anxiety.”
You’re not actually buying it. You’re putting down $1,000 to reserve your place in line. If you decide in the 3+ years you have to wait that you don’t want it, then you can always cancel your order. The $1,000 is simply good-faith money to show that you’re at least reasonably serious about buying.
The money is fully refundable, so they are just place-holding a spot in line. When they get to test drive the car they can reject it and get a refund. Long before that they can decide to buy the Audi electric instead and get their refund.
