Too much bad press from AAA PC/console game companies announcing mobile titles in the US (Diablo Immortal, ES:Blades, etc.). They make most of their $ off these from their Asian markets anyhow. Simple and smart business strategy.
I mean this is probably in cease-and-desist / pre-litigation stage, yeah. But I’m sure in time we’ll find out what gives, either through dev leaks or lawsuit filings
Inb4 this is because of a lawsuit
PROS:
- Games cost WAY less.
- Bugs have been tested and patched.
- No social pressure to rush through it to get to the end your first playthrough.
CONS:
- Miss out on the social excitement of chatting about the game with friends who are also playing it (which can make solo games especially lonely feeling).
- Many games do…

If anybody ever figures out how to get to ganon without needing all the shrines, it’ll be another game changer. As things stand, it looks like glider and stasis at least are 100% necessary
If you want a good skating phone game try True Skate. It's F2P (with extra maps downloadable for a buck each) and is a really satisfying and decently realistic skating / "Tech Deck" sim
