A couple of points: the Inspector General came down hard on NASA for the way it doesn't track its assets and artifacts. No one in NASA is going to disregard what the Inspector General (IG) says, because everyone in NASA likes having a NASA and appreciates having a job. It would be absolutely stupid to let this auction

Keep working hard and take advantage of as many NASA-related academic programs offered once you hit the college ranks. Make contacts, be friendly, be professional, and keep dreaming.

Eyes on the stars, always, my friend. Life requires it!

There's a lot of outsourcing (subcon'ing) going on where manned missions are concerned. The actual production and use of manned spacecraft are American-based, due to arms regulations (spacecraft are considered defense articles).

That's the better choice...

I work for NASA. Now is not a good time to work for NASA.

Step 6: Kill Them

I'm not sure when it became acceptable for professionals who interface with people to "have a bad day" and give others the privilege of dealing with their negative attitude. I hope Christoforo learned that it isn't acceptable at all.

That sounds killer. I'll head over to DA and see what there is. There's a series called, "Colored Earth" I think that has four images of the planet with different colored surrounding space. That works well for the same purpose.

You know, because that's exactly what I was talking about. There's no way I simply pointing out that different colored wallpapers make for great rotating image screensavers on a Mac. No. I was clearly saying that this ONLY works on a Mac.

It will dance to EWF?!

Identical pattern, yet different colored wallpapers make for great rotating image screensavers on the Mac.

Spotify Premium + Sonos Play:5 = good stuff.

I use one of those LED "tap lights" mounted behind a towel rack - walk into the bathroom, groggy, push on the towel on the left, light goes on. The bright LED is diffused by the towel (which is mostly there for decoration and never gets used), providing just enough light to avoid making a mess and not enough light to

While I do see "9/11" in those buildings, I have to say that we cannot stop being creative or innovative out of fear of invoking thoughts of past tragedies. We can't stop living life because bad things happen or we are reminded of bad things happening...

It's my favorite film of all time. I fell in love with it accidentally - the local AM station in LA had nightly radio dramas during the late evenings and I would stay up and listen. Thursday nights, if memory serves, had The Third Man radio drama for listeners. Anyone else listen to this?

This announcement excites me, until I'm reminded I'm a Time Warner customer and signed my rights to be excited away some time ago.

Who understands sin better than the sinner?

I also miss the turn based play. I played a few hours worth of 13 and just couldn't continue; it felt very focused and there wasn't much exploring to be done. The game was beautiful, but... lacked the feeling of adventure the previous Final Fantasies had. I'm with ya, old timer (me being 34).

Great song! It was used as the jump ball song for the Atlanta Hawks in the early 90's. Also has a rather NSFW-innuendo ending that made it on the radio a million times (much like The Who's "Who Are You?" f-bomb).
