Sounds awesome. I freakin' love kale. My toddler son won't have it, but oh well, more for me. Lentil meatballs actually sound pretty good...

Wow that website does not display well in Chrome.

I did a similar thing earlier this year, using the website DietBet with a group of online friends. It was $10 to participate, and the goal was 4% of your body weight (about 6 lbs for me). The only thing that annoyed me about it was that I was right on track to the 6 lb goal, but then it was my time of the month toward

I agree about the sleep, I've always been a person that really needs 8 hours of sleep, so I was worried about that. I found I was surprised at how little I could live with. It always seemed fine as long as the sleep was generally improving over time. Like, I could deal with 3 wakeups a night for months, but then he

For a burp cloth, I would aim to make it like a prefold cloth diaper. If you're starting with a thick fabric, maybe just double up the middle part and leave the outside just one layer. With a bedsheet, hmm, maybe double up the whole thing and either double or triple the middle? (2-4-2 or 2-6-2)

I agree with a lot of these, but not the working from home. I don't think there was any stage I could have worked from home with my son. He needed my attention almost 100% of his waking hours before he started walking. I know there are some babies that like to hang out by themselves, but mine was not one of them. Also

That Hailey Stanfield outfit is super cute, and she's wearing a leather skirt! Not exactly a typical old lady look.

Tee hee, that gif is so tiny!

:gasp!:

That's very helpful of you, O'Brien... but what's in it for you?

No! I don't believe such scurrilous rumors!

I'm with you. 31 here and I read that Atlantic article thinking, "is this a thing?"

I agree, the store brand is not nearly as spreadable. One of the few items that I won't buy generic.

Oh yeah, I tried to go to Jalopnik a couple days ago and I don't know what happened. I had to sign myself up for my own blog or something, but even clicking okay several times didn't let me through to the article. Maybe I have 3 blogs now.

Same here, I really get fed up with the advice on how to not have a picky kid, and it's all stuff I've been doing all along, and I still have an incredibly picky kid. I mean there was a full-on meltdown last night because he didn't want to eat a quesadilla. I also believed that picky kids were made, not born, but I'm

because then you can either stay home with them, forsaking the career you've worked for and turning your back on the gains made by the feminist movement (not to mention robbing your child of the crucial social interaction of a multi-child situation), or you can send them to daycare and have some strangers raise your

Like others have said, there are probiotics. I've given them to my (breastfed) son several times when he was on antibiotics for ear infections. Definitely seemed to help with the whole diarrhea side effect. As for routine probiotics in formula, I'm guessing we don't have a real good idea of which bacteria are needed -

Oh come on, I think everybody's spent a party talking about cosleeping and critiquing the saag paneer! No? Just me, then? Okay. Still think I'm a Samoa, no matter what this quiz says. At least it didn't call them Caramel DeLites like some kind of heathen would.

But wait! http://www.motherjones.com/tom-philpott/2013/01/quinoa-good-evil-or-just-really-complicated

I kind of want to google image search to see if her butt is in any way fat, as I don't remember her being particularly pear-shaped, but then I'm like STFU Alabama HS football coach, I will not Google the lovely first lady's ass.
