What would you say is the best version of Tales of Phantasia? On Wikipedia it says that it was released on Super Famicom, PS1, GBA, and PSP, in that order, but only GBA version and later are in English. I never played this game before but my friend recommended it and he played the GBA version.

Oh wow I love this game. The price is $30 and it never goes on sale. You can play the originals by buying Nova and downloading the total conversion that switches everything to either the original EV or EV Override.

I totally agree with you. I would rather buy DRM free from humble bundles (and other clones) and GOG than from Steam if they were the same price. You never know when Steam will no longer be around and our "licenses" to those games expire with it. Alas, there are too many great deals on Steam and there are also games…
