@Skunky: Yeah, technically its more of a "ball-toe" action, but they renamed it "heel-toe" because they didn't want anyone getting hurt incorrectly attempting the former.

@hoggster: Say whaaaa?!? Elaborate please.

"Mazel tov!"

@if'n: Yeah,I totally agree, I wasn't defending Toyota at all. Just pointing out that manufacturers are shady about sweeping these issues under the rug.

@Tanshanomi: Hah. Wow, are you Rainman or something?!? I'm impressed.

I really believe that there are way more faulty vehicle caused accidents than people think. My dad's X5 will periodically jump forward 2 feet right before you come to a stop and I had a VW that took off under cruise control too. I drove a Cadillac that ruptured a brake line and lost all braking.

This is hilarious.

@zeeboid: I don't know who should be more creeped out by that coincidence. I was gonna type 'Bud-Light' but I didn't want to be insulting.

@zeeboid: grabs his "canoe-shaped fairing", 6 pack of Sierra and his Zune, hits the river for the rest of the day...

@dbec: Because when the Feds catch him he'd be in for a world of hurt. There's a bunch of Skyline R32(?) owners in Cali who just got their grey market JDM cars seized. Its weird how they treat these cars like shipments of drugs. Like a couple of Skylines, an Alfa here and there and a Focus RS are going to really

@gd2155001: Because his iPhone dropped the calls. No really that's what Woz said happened, I'm not trolling.

God, I just woke up from the weirdest dream. Ph-er-Murilee and I were shooting a bumper mounted time lapse up Pikes Peak in a nicely restored red bug. Someone flipped the car off the side of the cliff with a Brute Shot from Halo and I slid down the hill, remembering in panic that I had my graduate thesis due today.

@GeeHalen: A little fiberglass and some Krylon and it could be.

@KeyserSöze - Professional Blog Commenter: I can tell you that a curvy girl on a curvy road is not as much fun as 104 lbs of svelte on the back of an XB12R on a curvy road. Or maybe it was just the Dual Compound Corsa III's...

@SlowMo (now with Rusty the Miata in the family): I'm amazed that guy stopped at all, it would take a few seconds he didn't have to process what was about to happen. I wouldn't have thought the bridge I was standing was about to fall, I would have expected a big crash and some flying dump truck parts.

@JC Whitless: The guy that fell actually saved his own hide. You can see him walking along and all the sudden he just stops. He must have seen that dump truck coming out of the corner of his eye, otherwise he would have been right at the point of impact. Not many people are that observant.
