God that's so horrific. I read somewhere that the guy had received the wrong lug nuts (bolts?) with his new wheels and didn't realize it till that happened.

That car was totally burned out. I really doubt a single part on that car has any value beyond its weight in scrap.

@mechimike: Congrats to the Redneck Racing guys! They finished much much better than we did with our Caddy. Apparently they didn't have any major mechanical issues (my teammates are going to be very jealous).

I think some people missed the point of this feature entirely. Basically you spend $7 to save $1,500. Who wouldn't like that?!?
