Damn! It's starting to look like he's a typical rape-culture warrior. I was so hoping that he wasn't, but I'm not surprised I suppose. Good on the young lady for being brave enough to keep fighting (and to have a lawyer who won't back down).

So before the "BUT BIRTH DEFECTS" brigade comes marching in, let's consider the per capita rates of various issues based on maternal age. We will assume that paternal age is either a non-factor or constant at "whatevs" because this is about women being shamed into babby-making, not the other way around.) Also because

I don't know, I wouldn't expect Charmin to know about one page of one comic that has a throwaway joke about Asgard that isn't related to the plot, and I'm not sure anyone can claim "ownership" over a pun.

I never liked Barbara as Batgirl, she just didn't interest me. Stephanie Brown will always be the real Batgirl to me.

I have nothing but love for all you knitters. But I fucking hate sociology professors.

I think that's a bit unfair re: Lori, who was 1. A terrible person and 2, terribly written. I felt really bad for Sarah Wayne Callies having to play the garbage the scripts had to her week after week. Portrayed constantly as an inept, absent minded mother, insisting Rick behave one way one week then berating him

He's right we don't need "porn for women", we do need more porn directed and produced by women though. Women are not some monolithic porn purveying group

I can't believe he'd stoop so low as to share a stage with a drug-addled career showman whose entire livelihood is predicated on falsehoods that pander to the lowest common denominator.

That's totally true, and it's why I'm fond of saying we have a nutrition and inactivity crisis. Obesity is a common, but not certain, symptom.

RIP Bruce Banner

Well, going by Richard B. Frank's Downfall: The End of the Imperial Japanese Empire, here's what would have happened.

Oh, they're getting overhauled alright. By six feet of water caused by the melting polar ice caps caused by manmade global climate change. Lots of things are going to get "overhauled" by that. GET REAL.

I highly recommend the books. I'm not actually a big fantasy reader but I read the whole series as an adult and was blown away. The end of the first book is really pretty dark. And from there it just gets worse. Not really in a heartbreaking way. (I think the first book is actually the saddest.) But in a "they could
