I've been an iPhone user myself for the past few years....but why do Apple fans have to aggressively defend for Apple's shortcomings? You're a customer, not a PR person for the company. Yup. That's the point. This new map app is what iPhone 5 users will get to use until Google Maps app for iOS comes along. Whether or not the Apple's native map app is new to the game doesn't matter...unless you think everything Apple does is magical.
Apple doesn't have its own native app that corresponds to the YouTube app....so no reason to block it. Maps app is a different story.
