@thejonbee: He could have had multiple blank screens for the first two swipes, and the one that was on a screen and didn't swipe it looks like he was barely grazing the screen. They may setup a certain amount of conductivity to be required for it to be registered as a swipe. I don't have those problems on my Evo.

@daytripper1: They don't fire straight at their target, they would be shooting up into the atmosphere. Think of an intercontinental ballistic missle, that's too small and too fast to really detect, without any of the dangerous fuel or explosives.
