It looks like someone torched its passenger side door with an accelerant (notice the paint peeling only in that area). If it were internal, the car would be a smoldering frame due to all the plastics inside. If it were the battery and this was a run away reaction, it would also be a smoldering frame.
I forgot about the charging stations, and my first thought was, “How in the Hell do you install a supercharger on an EV?”
Perhaps the seat maker started it, but the Quality Control inspector’s sole job is to make sure that this kind of thing does not get out the door.
It gets worse and more expensive the newer you get of course. At this point though from what I’ve heard and been reading, I wouldn’t touch any BMW unless I had a lease and warranty coverage.
Agreed- it’s a good car. I driven a number of them as rentals over the years.
Works great in town, or on the highway & good on gas.
I have to agree, as a highway cruiser and daily commuter, the Cruze is actually pretty good. It’s really too bad that GM finally learned how to build good small cars, just as the small car market crashed. Actually that kind of describes GM throughout their history.
The article is spot on. It’s not a sporty (or incompetent) car to drive. But between the comfort of the seats/suspension, the available features, the mileage and the price, it’s a great commuter vehicle. A manual transmission greatly enhances the enjoy-ability and thriftiness.
I’ve got one of the first MY Cruzes, with the Eco trim and the manual gearbox. Not only is it plenty efficient, it’s enjoyable enough to drive (particularly rowing my own) that I don’t feel like I’m confined to an econobox that I need to hate.
If somebody crushed my ‘66 Charger, after I spent 2-1/2 years bringing it back from the dead, I’d unapologetically lose my shit.
Chiron is too much of a fat lard to get a time like that
I don’t think there’s any such thing. When’s the last time there’s been a Black Republican who wasn’t shucking and jiving and basically being the token for these racist white Republicans?
I wonder how the invitation should have been handled? Does one actually go into the lion’s den and hope that he actually benefits rather than mauls you? What do you do when you are there and when you leave? Do you refuse the picture? Do you say something like “We are glad to meet with the President of the United…
Why do people join HOAs?
Honest question, I’ve never heard of *any* good reason to be part of one; they just seem like you’re agreeing to give control over what you can and can’t do on your property to the worst bored old-lady busybody stereotypes.
That 2014 is only $1000 less than the 2017. And it’s an automatic.
We’ll probably never get another V8, RWD, Manual-equipped sedan from GM (save for maybe a CTS-V?) ever again. just sayin’.
Not really. One reason behavior like this is illegal is because it can rapidly turn violent. This is the South, after all—lots of people have guns on them or nearby. Under different circumstances, this could have turned into a gun battle with multiple people getting killed. That no one was injured here is, IMO, a…
This is the silver lining in this awful story for me. I am completely amazed that Georgia pursued this case, used these laws to convict, and actually gave hefty sentences to these assholes.
I see it, it’s an SUV. They aren’t invisibly cloaked. Why should they have to announce they are there? To give a heads up to bad guys? I guess our armed forces should wear bright orange to let everyone know, hey we’re coming!
He cut off the vehicle in the middle lane when he merged behind the Chevy, then proceeded to cut the cop off. I’d say he has 2 perfectly good reasons to pull him over.
