You might not be aware of this, but some cars ECM will automatically shut off/clutch the AC compressor in order to reduce the engine load at high RPM...

Actually.... I don’t know about 20hp, but I do have an old (90s) 4 banger (fuel injected, OHC) and you can sure as hell tell the difference with the A/C on.

It’s such a fantastic car. I currently own a ‘13 Focus ST and love the car (except for the just okay Recaro seats). With a few bolt ons and a quick tune, the car is flat out amazing for the money. If the RS is out of budget, I’m going to have a hard time deciding between another Focus ST or Fiesta ST next time around.…
