It is really quite sad how crossover and SUV crazy America has gotten.

My Dad is finally about ready to buy a new car after ~16 years driving a Monte Carlo, and so we went to a Buick dealership, and in their show room were 7 vehicles. 5 of them were various UV’s, one was a GMC truck, and then there was one car...a

Part of it is the fact that all the Audi’s look alike, but more of it is just that I really am not a fan of Audi. They are all AWD (easy), almost all automatic (easy), and for the most part all have an understeer bias (easy). To me they are basically the easy mode of cars (them and the GT-R). Yet for some reason,

It would be especially ironic if he keeps the MAGA slogan, and his constituents never wonder why he didn’t make America great last time.

So you’ll get a car that isn’t as good or enjoyable now, because theoretically it will be worth more later?

Thankfully not everyone thinks that way or the car market would be a lot smaller, and probably a lot more lame and autotragic.

I wonder if Tremek will make an aftermarket option for driving enthusiasts.

What? There are very few options in the world left that are both manual and AWD.

Or you could just buy a car to enjoy and not worry about how much it will be worth in X time.

Should read - “if you are the kind of buyer who wants the Sportback body style and the performance of an S5, without the image of being boring and derivative, the Kia might be a car worth looking into.”

I think the SS will do quite well resale wise, particularly the manual ones.

Either way...fix it. The fix probably won’t take much and the car is worth a lot more driving than it is now.

Appears so...F-ing kinja.

Even then 900 miles (or more realistically 850) is more than most Truckers can do in a day. I believe they are only allowed to drive 11 hours a day which is 715 miles at 65mph.
So yes, provided ample charging stations (at overnight resting) this could easily substitute most current long haul truckers.

Tremek makes a manual conversion for the Dodge Challenger.
Also given the SS comes with a Tremek manual you could probably just buy the transmission (+bellhousing, clutch, master and slave cyl) and sell the auto (4L60?). Given the current prices you could probably do this for under $50k on an SS...but it would be a

So what do you tell a customer, who’s expectations are unrealistic with mileage vs price?

How about a Honda Beat. Is there a secret inventory of those?

‘If they are buying an automatic for anything other than a drag-strip car, they are not in fact “enthusiasts”’
I tend to agree, however the automatic drivers themselves very much contest this assertion. I tend to think of them as pseudo enthusiasts. They are interested in cars and driving fast but not committed to it

That’s my point. When arguing manual vs auto the automatic crowd always falls back to the argument that they are faster, despite the fact that there is almost universally a faster car available with a manual for less money.
Frankly I think it’s a futile argument. Most people never track their cars, particularly

Sadly with manuals no longer being faster than automatics, a larger portion of the enthusiast crowd (who I usually think of as bench racers) are buying automatics and there often isn’t enough demand to justify a manual.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and someone will make a manual swap like Tremek does with the Challenger and

Initially they will probably sell for MSRP, but within 6 months you might be able to get a few thousand off.

My Dad is looking for a new car, and he has no idea what he wants. One minute hes talking about full size sedans, the next about CUV’s, and the next about economical hatch backs.
I’m going to make him drive one of these...and maybe in 10 year or so I can tell him he’s to old to drive and take it from him :p
