Careful there! Talk like that could get a guy flamed around these parts. Of course, you have to wonder how long some reviewers actually played the game before they reached their review deadline (I am thinking about the size of the save file when I say this).

The worlds are not linked, but the story is distinctively Takahashi (the man behind all the Xeno games). If you lined up the stories and themes from each game, you would find a lot of overlap. So basically if you liked a previous game bearing the Xeno prefix, you will probably like the story/plot/feel of Xenoblade.

Agreed; bad editing. I'm just happy they got in some of the best tracks from the OST.

Ah no, I get you! I'm just saying as a person who is usually skeptical of English dub work I found the English dub work to be superb. I would put it a half-step behind the Legacy of Kain series for English VA work (I have big feet to go with long legs and a long stride if people want to complain about this comparison).

It is an official trailer and you can tell it is for two reasons. One because it came from Nintendo's website w/ ESRB rating on it. Two, NOA was giving people a little wink by leaving in the line "sorry for keeping you waiting" @ 2:36.

Right there with you on the dub. I am usually a sub guy for any Japanese media, but for Xenoblade the English dub just seemed more correct. By that I mean, the personalities of the characters seemed to fit the story better when I listened to the English dub vs the original Japanese voice work.

I am happy it is a straight copy of the EU version (except region coding) as well. Never understood the hate for the British dub in the first place. It is on par, if not better, than the original JP voice work. I dare say some of the English VAs brought to life better, more fitting characters than the some of the

Hearing that soundtrack again is making consider sacrificing a game from my 2012 gaming budget in order to buy it again.

It technically does count as piracy, but no one will come after you for it since you have physical media (and it's not worth the legal fees). You have done what many of us importers have done. It is a beautiful game even in SD on the Wii, but Dolphin just takes it to a new level graphically and with save states (not

But I already bought the game...so Reggie is wrong if only considering Xenoblade. Reggie would have been right if NOA brought the game over around the same time it came out in Europe, and no one bought the game. Completely different scenarios.

Not saying they would not want to support it coming here, but that's another $50, which is another two days worth of gasoline for me and my commutes. Heck, you're talking to a guy that back when the economy was better (and I had extra cash) that bought two copies of each Xeno game (JP and NA) so it is not like I (or

Good news if true, but I fear a healthy amount of people that wanted to buy the game already imported it (like me) and probably will not buy it again (hurting US sales and allowing NOA to say "I told you so.") Then again maybe those sales could even out if GameStop actually advertises the game (I am not confident NOA

It's like they took that old Nintendo Power cover for Zelda with the owl on it, and combined it another cover for Castlevania... but instead of a Belmont it's Van Helsing (because of the hat). Could be good (or awful), but I will reserve judgment until I see some game play footage.

Wait a tick...

That is freaking epic. The only thing missing was a little Benny Hill in a few of the scenes.

*Looks at old Game Gear and still wonders where the hell the battery cover went.

I was going to say, it sounds like a crude reference for materials to roll a joi... I mean cigarette (minus the key ingredient... and people do not usually bother with the precision cut of scissors).

Hell yes to the classic mode! (Mostly because I do not trust the quality of most remakes/reboots). Also, can we still "accidentally" landed on the hostages we are supposed to rescue?

Oh man, Fun Fun Island! I hate that place. I do not think I hit the 1400-rupee loss mark, but I think I wasted at least an hour trying to hit that 50 rupee spot. The worst part was if you missed one of the bonus rings and landed on a spot to make some money back, since you would have to wait through that slow text to

Wish I would have seen that jazz suggestion thread earlier. I will go against the grain a bit and offer something newer:
