im about 75% of the way through eye of the world and despite some minor quibbles im enjoying it.

would have been perfect if he chose chao instead. it bugs the shit outta me he chose the other one!

thats is a sexy fucking unicorn.

but thats life. ive known plenty of people i thought were great and then i learn a bit about them and realize they are ass holes.thats the entire point of life. ideas and people change. my grandfather used to say nothing but positive things about the vietnam war. it was a just war, full of good guys and definite bad

id LOVE to read it but im depressingly poor and dont know if ill ever afford it!

true, theres just palpatines little story which i think is great. thats what i love about star wars. most of the story is in the background and open to interpretation.

really? ive allways thought that palpatine really could cheat death and he just didnt do it for padme because vader was worth more angry.

i dont remember him ever straight up lying to him in the since of making shit up. a little white lie here, a deception there. he told anakin what he wanted to hear. that he was great, that he was powerful, that he was smart. palpatine was playing a long game. he knew how hopeless the jedi were and knew it was only a

i will admit the first half of season one is pretty bad. but it picks up. then the bad episodes get fewer and fewer as the series goes on.

my big thing with the jedi is that they should never get involved. they should assist, they should chip in where applicable but jedi have a responsibility to let the galaxy do whatever its going to do. the jedi or the star wars galaxy are basiclly gods and gods have no reason to be involved in the quarrels of men.

you should check out the show. its flipping great!

ive never thought that the script or acting was bad. its a stylistic choice. lucas was attempting to tell a story set in the sytle of action serials of the 30's and 40's. the acting was never supposed to be incredibly serious. he wasnt trying to do game of thrones or the godfather style acting. he was trying to do a

AGREED! to paraphrase the the great Vince McMahon, "Anakin screwed anakin." i cant really think of any times when anakin was forced to do somthing he didnt want. he was whiny, controlling, a dick and kind of a bully. nobody lied to him to make him do what he did. sure, he might have been misled at times but anakin

i think the hobbit is probly his best story. its short, simple and grand without being over bearing or wordy. most of his work reads like an outline for when he actually writes the novel. everything that is great about LOTR is in the books. but alot of it is implied and you have to assume alot for it to work. ive seen

agreed to disagree i suppose. i found the LOTR books and the hobbit to be much of the same. this happened, this happened, etc..

dont get me wrong, i LOVE moore, watchmen and v for vendetta are two of the best works of the last 100 years, but i cant stand people who are just so self righteous and holier than thou. which is a shame because he does say alot of smart things during his rambles but its usually followed up by just being a crazy ass

thats my problem with Tolkien in general. they guy had a GREAT imagination and his world building skills are second to none. but christ on a crutch he sucks at writing books. i read and enjoyed the books when i was younger and then when i saw the films i was shocked jackson was able to make a great movie out of them.

Ellison is the perfect example of some body's attitude affecting their career. theres no doubt in my mind that had he not been a giant douche bag to everybody he would have had a prolific career. Alan Moore has the same problem but he comes off more as crazy than as an asshole.

I would love more movies set in this world. not a sequel per se just more adventures set in that universe. it seems so virbant and interesting.

what? because i love weadon means i have to like everything he's ever done? i dont like half of speilbergs movies but i think he is a visionary. tarintino hasnt made a good movie since jackie brown but hes one of the best directors in history. i thought season 4 of arrested development is better than the first 3
