RAV-4, CR-V, and Rogue, for several reasons.

I’m still playing with the light, and it takes a fair bit of in camera monkeying, but I wanted some cold light to simulate those nasty street lights they use in parking garages. Right now the mix is like 2/3 warm 1/3 cold.

It’s an obscure one. It’s The Dude’s Gran Torino. Not a custom. Greenlight actually makes that model just as you see it.

I’m so ghetto. I just use LED string lights like you get on a table at an outdoor wedding. But with a bit of subterfuge they’re a nice touch.

Great to see the hobby hit Jalop Prime. Now I have an excuse to show off my work!

BMW making electric cars - Yes, these are the people I want making these things so I will enjoy driving them.

Question for the BMW Wagoneers: Does a 3 series lose some of its magic with X-Drive? I’d LOVE to go wagon instead of sedan but I really don’t need X-Drive in California.

Great reply. in TF2 the Alternator was like a whole different (and awesome) gun if you rapidly tapped the trigger instead of holding it down. This had the effect of keeping recoil well under control and adding distance. Is this still true?

I even found this problematic when I test drove the 2016 Mazda 6. It just felt needlessly obstructed. One of many reasons I wound up in an Accord which is way easier to see out of and has Lanewatch to boot.

Is there anything to the fact that Chevys are utterly ubiquitous when it comes to rental fleets? Lots of people have brief dalliances with a GM car when they rent and they seem to come away unimpressed. This probably harms their resale value, negatively affects their brand image, and the cars clearly aren’t putting

You have caused confusion and dela-OH MY GOD THOMAS WHAT IS THAT SMELL?

I voted for Gulf but nobody has mentioned BRE Datsun and that’s just wrong.

We use ours constantly but I rinse everything off in the sink first so as not to overwhelm the food filter. Heavy stuff goes down the disposal.

Stupid Sexy Planters...

He should start posting in Hot Wheels collector forums. The 510 wagon is all the rage there. All he has to do is put it in a giant blister pack with a card behind it and he’s golden.

My hunch is the S60 and the XC60 aren’t that similar, but they're both excellent. Much as I want to go RWD next, the upcoming S60 looks pretty great.

My mom has one of those, and they’re legit great at their jobs. They make a ton of sense except for that little intangible sensation of toppling down the road. I just feel more planted in my Accord and the sightlines in the Honda are excellent by any standard let alone today’s.

That’s a great point. It is a redeeming value of theirs. Not enough to sway me, except right now I have a back strain so my Accord is suddenly a bit less perfect for me.

I think you’re right. It’s all about the high seating position for them, and I bet it’s made worse by the fact that cars in general are getting harder to see out of.
