Thiel committed no crime, no matter how questionable his line of behavior was.

I find the implication that Thiel’s position on the board was ever in any Jeoprady because of what he did to Gawker highly misleading. The only controversy was the one Gawker tried, and failed, to create.

Listen up:

Sorry Gawker, you guys aren’t journalists being wronged. You’re a bunch of unethical muckrakers and you managed to piss off the wrong person...

Wow, this might be the first time I have agreed with Zuck!

I am getting sick of the pile on to oust people from positions for disagreeing with them on some crap. Gawker acted as unquestionable dickheads to Thiel, He had every legal right to retaliate the way he did. And Gawker is a way more powerful voice than some

People managed to go to live events for decades without phones. They’ll live.

Those of us trying to watch the show will not miss you, I can assure you of that. Catch the dvd and text your bae from the couch if you really need to.

I would love to see Deadspin and Jalopnik unshackled from the Gawker/Jezebel shitshow.

Ah Victim Blaming.

Up with Freedom of Speech laws! Down with libel and slander laws! No consequences! Hooray! Everyone go be assholes because you’re free to say whatever you want!

My god... the ellipses...

Darker please! I saw some things ;p

Except AA generally does not work in the long-term in keeping someone sober.

“I’m worried about reliability, so I’d get a BMW instead.”

Sprint is sad and desperate. Had them for 10 years before I left them 3 years ago and never looked back. The Verizon ad with Gervais that says “it was only faster in Kansas would you want a parachute that was only good over Kansas?” was aimed squarely at Sprint and their BS metrics.

There is a lot of self-promotion required to succeed, and they are constantly selling themselves and trying to expose themselves as much as possible to make as much money as possible.

Anybody in the public eye gives up some of their privacy. But when someone goes and picks a performer name most of us get that we shouldn’t play amateur detective to track down their real info. If an author is at a book signing that doesn’t give us the OK to follow them home.

I don’t get the point you’re making here. Lot’s of behavior is risky, that doesn’t excuse the people that exploit that.
