Not really, considering you could pick up 320gb or more portable drive for the $50 delta between the systems at MSRP. However, I picked up a Basic for $239 at Target so it's a $110 difference. I happen to have a 2TB external desktop drive laying around so I'm covered, but regardless the Basic is the better deal.
