That might work in Europe but a sizable proportion of riders here carry. If a cop runs down a bike around the people I ride with, well God help him because I won't. You don't kill a man for being rude.

In some countries, when the speed is not too high and there are no objects the bikers might hit, the police will push/direct them with the sides of their vehicles off the pavement, possibly into a ditch or otherwise loose/slippery ground and get them to drop the bike.
