Economy cars aren’t all shitboxes. This isn’t a Ford Aspire. Cars can be good without being fun.

All I can say is that I’m impressed. Kudos to Farrah. I used to do medical and bank courier work in rural areas, and the miles can really rack up. For about 4 years, I was doing 400 miles per day, five days a week. That’s around 100K miles per year. She did twice that!!

It looks like hitting a rabbit could break it, and it offers protection for approximately zero frontal area. I don’t get it. It’s like a front curb feeler or something.

“Shitbox”?

Teacher took quite a gamble.

Judging by the army of “deer whistles” she has on the hood and being in Kansas, I’m guessing she has had quite a few run-ins with rodents. Growing up in Indiana I know a raccoon can rip the front bumper off a Golf at highway speed. I briefly considered the same brush guard (and making a safari GTI), but I knew I was

Yea because its the engineers job to design a system that lasts longer than a human without any servicing. If you want “bullet proof” but a Caterpillar. But even those need regular servicing.

Yeah, because no car company has ever used plastic in their cooling system before...

I look at that and think “that is going to be really fucking expensive to replace WHEN it fails”. And it will fail. Oh, and of course you can only buy it from Tesla, if they deign to sell you one.

I do too. I’m 6 foot tall, and even long drives it feels comfortable. The bolstering on my seats is also great. That said, I have had a 914 for my entire life, and that actually is like sitting on the floor, so perhaps I am just used to that position. Either way, it’s fine with me.

It’s all in the way you sit. I am 6'-1" and I have loads of room in the Taco. You can’t sit the same way as in a normal truck though, you sit more like a sports car. My first car was an ‘88 yota pickup and it was the same exact way. That takes some getting used to but it helps give the truck more ground clearance
