@lnlogauge: E85 tends to rot things. Old fuel systems aren't E85 compatible, paper fuel filters turn into mush, injectors clog, that sort of thing.

@two wheels are enough: Definitely a bad idea to use DOT-5 on cars that call for the older DOT-3 stuff. Eats seals and will leak. DOT-5 also doesn't work well with ABS, according to some people.
