It’s a pretty big jump from “some Bernie supporters are sexist bros” to “there are literally no feminist/female Bernie supporters.” Of course the latter is not true, but the campaign has had some undeniable gender issues and I don’t see the point in ignoring that.

I know a lot of former Ron Paul supporters who jumped to Bernie’s ship and now are headed for Trump. There’s a certain subset of young white men who are disaffected and want change (but can’t really articulate what that exactly means for them) and there are lots of them who flock to Reddit. I’m sure if you asked them…

There’s A LOT the fictional portrayals of breast cancer don’t show. I got especially enraged when Samantha from SATC was diagnosed. The writers always find a way to keep the character “pretty” and write in the cancer as something that’s not life (and body)-altering, when for most women breast cancer absolutely is.

It’s rough indeed. My sister had breast cancer at 26 years old and she had 3 large and aggressive tumors. The surgeon reconstructed her breast using a combo of silicone and a piece of her back muscle. The doctors said she could reconstruct the nipple in a few months with tissue from her vulva and tattooing an areola.…
