Every bar mitzvah I attended, including my own, growing up in south-eastern Wisconsin had Sunkist-throwing. Throwing candy is common practice in Israel as well, but there are specific “mazal tov” toffees made by the big candy company Elite, which are significantly harder, especially if dried out. I just took one to

I know I’m weird, but I never liked cold pizza. I’ll take lukewarm over cold any day. Something about how the cheese recoagulates doesn’t work for me...

Now that you mention it, there might not have been any butterscotch chips in the ones I grew up having. And they were kinda just always there, so I’m not entirely sure what they were called, maybe just “peanut butter treats.”

IIRC, the Gros Michel was the predominant strain many years ago, but a killer fungus developed that decimated them. And I also remember that a fungus has now developed an affinity (for killing) the Cavendish so there is a race to create a new strain resistant to this fungus, or we may soon live in a banana-less world.

I had these way more growing up in Wisconsin than regular ol’ marshmallow Rice Krispies Treats. I think that’s because showing up with these to a social function was viewed as a solid dessert offering effort-wise, while showing up with basic treats could get you a side eye indicating you phoned it in. I’m just

Silly Noto, instead of a Giant Squid statue, they could have had a golden Gundam statue.

I mean the spirit of a yard sale is to clear out old junk or other unused/unwanted items... the stock of which is eventually depleted, which is ultimately the goal. If they did this weekly, then they must have been acquiring items in order to sell them, in which case that is more like a flea market than a yard sale...

I’ve been fully vaccinated since late January... and have done nothing of import.

From what I’ve read, it seems you don’t season enameled cast iron pans?

So I recently bought a Tromantina enameled cast iron pan to replace a scratched up ancient non-stick pan that was probably causing my family cancer... Cooking eggs is HARD on the thing, always burning/sticking even if swimming in oil, which also sputters out at me in the beginning of the cook. Anyone have advice?

I bought my normal milk load over Passover, but due to the lack of cereal eating, we had like 5 cartons left over. We froze it, and have been working through them one by one. I drank some the other day, and got pretty sick for the next day and a half. Not sure if connected, but have been turned off of the idea of

Really nice, though as is often the case, I’m not sure what the connection of the spot is to an energy drink.

“That’s a trip to Paris cinnamon dulce latte...”

I do the same with Cornflakes. The cost savings compared to buying Honey Bunches of Oats or similar makes me wonder why most people don’t do this...

Hopefully not the drifting analog sticks.

Would you say it had R”360" degrees of movement?

Why was it necessary to cut the string cheese? why not just put them in whole? if they’ve been out of the fridge for a bit, they should bend nicely...

And I have never had a “bad” jewish cookie or treat.

I can’t find any recollection of this on the Internet, but my favorite snack growing up the 90s I think were called “Funcones”. Little conical cookie-crackery things in various flavors with a cream filling; I was partial to chocolate/chocolate flavor.
