A CRV is a soft roader, this is much more capable.

WHAT? The engine is the most desirable part of the car. The manual trans just makes it better.

That 10% idea is flawed. If that were the case the vast majority of Americans would be walking to work. Who ever came up with that (regardless of how many degrees they have) is full of shit.

Nice try Jalopnik. You’re getting lazy.

Right? You’re not going to keep the car stock.

The STI is a turd, it’s not much farther behind the EVO. I’m not saying the RS is God’s gift to AWD compacts but it’s fresh blood and modern tech.

A Mustang is also no where near the performance envelope of an Evo. You’re comparing apples and oranges.

Mustangs of that era had 30 years of proven but ancient technology behind them. I would liked to have seen Ford design a turbo AWD sedan that put Italians to shame on the track.

They just come back repowered by diesel fueled restrained anger. They’re the undead of the diesel car world.

You’re arguing something completely different. The EVO is great for the first 100k then you sell it. It got through it’s designed life cycle.

I own a tuned WRX with 230k miles because I wanted a turbo AWD wagon on a budget. That’s not the mindset the original owner had going in.

You’re upset performance cars were driven like performance cars?

My W115 OM617 powered Mercedes has been at it for 40 years, it’ll do the next 40 years in stride.

Is the 1.4 sold in the US?

No 86 twins?

I doubt that. You don’t know what thermal cycle the wheels saw. The metallurgy could very easily be compromised.

Is there anything of value in this thing?

Is this adjusted for where you drive?

Yay, support that race to the bottom buddy.

I owned one of these. There is too much crack to even fit in the pipe.

In Michigan that plate can only be used to and from car shows. I want to drive my class Benz to work? Nope that’s illegal.

You’re missing the point. The intent is to show the doors can open next to tall vehicles. A Model S is not a tall vehicle.

I’d have 3 of them opening their doors at the same time.
