Economy turbos are great because their not just for economy. My 1 liter Fiesta pulls 51 mpg at 65 mph to 43 at 75 mph. It drives down low like a diesel and has great top end power. Once the US tuning scene is sorted in a few months it’ll be making almost 170 hp in a 2400 lb car.

What’s wrong with you?

Small engine bays compared to what? An old E van?

How does this compare as a street performance car to a C7 Corvette with the active suspension? They’re both in similar price brackets when the launch price bubble subsides.

I see your point. I’d rather have a less cluttered driving position for the 99.9% I’m not towing. There are more than enough knob to confuse the average person on/behind the steering wheel already.

Everything has moved up a class or two. I don’t like it but that’s the way it is. If they sell a ton of Fiestas maybe VW will bring over the Polo. Both the Fiesta and the Polo are the same size as a Mk3 Golf. Most the manufactures have these smaller cars overseas. If the market demands them (it’s not currently)

So buy a Fiesta 1 liter and vote with your wallet.

Most of the time you need the wheel diameter to clear the brakes on the higher trim level. Upgrade to 19 inch wheels on the stock 17 inch brake package and that’s what you get.

Because moving the physical shifter is wayyy too much work?

It’s a VW, it’s not leaving the driveway anyway.

Kelllll meeeee keeellllllll meee.

Look at the caliper on the new S550 Mustang. See that “nose” on the outboard side of the caliper? (weird I can’t find pictures online) That started because we found the initial design to be noisy when the computer said it should be quiet. We started bolting weights to the caliper and designed that solution.

I worked with and machined TI6AlV4 and CP Grade 2 every day for years. I turned thousands of pounds of it into chips. For simple things it’s not a big deal if you’ve got the correct tooling. If you’re Eaton trying to replace 13 hydraulic valve assemblies in a single titanium valve assembly in a military helicopter

Knob Less?

You sir are drunk.

I passed one in my Mk3 Golf with 250k and still felt I was driving the superior car.

So rare the only photo is a render?

I’ve seen one near nerdvile Ann Arbor.

Cute, she’s trying to match the camber.

Did this system not have any coil spring?

I’ve had two such $1200 tow rigs, the power steering worked flawlessly. It’s not a system that often breaks in American trucks. The recirculating gear box is significantly less failure prone than a rack and pinion. It’s in a better location and has fewer sliding seals to fail. The PS pumps can get weak but they’re
