I’m a materials engineer who works with aluminum castings daily. Even world class foundries have problems on a daily basis. It’s no simple task to make high quality aluminum castings, never mind do so in your backyard. It’s not just pouring melted cans into a sand mold. Good luck even getting casting sand.

If you towed through Kansas that would be fine but if you're going anywhere with hills the EB is going to build boost/burn fuel and get you to the top without slowing down like you would in the 5.4.

Put snow tires on it and it's like every other RWD car in the past 60 years. It's not that big of an issue.
