Writing for Road & Track is a lot like dying, except fewer people care.

while I think he went a little far with the: "dont throw them in jail" I have to agree that its not murder. Manslaughter sure, but its not like the driver decided, ok, you know, I'm going to kill those two guys tonight
I'm also curious as to why the GT-R driver is being charged with murder as well? Street racing…
Sure...but I don't see why a GXP buyer would opt for the GT rims.
Holy shit. At first I read this (headline) and assumed the Pontiac was stolen, they recovered it, and then realized it was the same car they'd been in five different, unassociated police chases with. Not that this car was stolen by an individual who would proceed to use it to evade police six fucking times.
IIRC the GXP was the only trim available with 3 pedals and I think that had different wheels.
Coincidence that this story airs right after Barcelona testing is over?
Wait, a G8 got stolen from a used car lot? How did the sales manager get home that evening?
Hotrod factory Pontiac + multiple police chases = The Bandit is back, as a black man? Cool beans. Now get that beer to Atlanta!
I find it hard to believe that he hasn't changed the license plates, or the color.
The G8 is a slightly restyled Holden Commodore from Australia, based on the GM Zeta platform. It was the first RWD sedan Pontiac sold since the '80s.
He probably just parked it in a garage until the number of stars went back down to zero——that's how most career criminals get away with stuff like this.
I definitely do not feel bad for rally fans who get hit by cars. I feel worse for the drivers because they killed some idiot fan standing way to close to racing cars.
While I wholeheartedly agree with you, your opinion flies counter to the circlejerk and therefore I doubt you'll get far.. My stars to you though sir.
"If you know where a street race is going down and don't call the cops, you're a scumbag."
Let's all get on the same page here. We are a car enthusiast website/group so we need to do this.
And now, back by popular demand…EPIC RAP BATTLES OF STREET RACING ACCIDENT HISTORY!
Rally is effing ridiculous. I wish this was more popular in the states.
Mikkelsen's snowbanking was the worst. Not only would he somewhat saved my fantasy WRC points, but I really wanted him to get that first win.
I'd watched this three or four times before this post, but I still watched it several more today. I wish that we had the 2008 insane-aero chassis back, but this past season was one of my favorites ever.
Well, it's too bad you were't flying the plane to show how a real pro would do it.
