The point is that science can't tell anything with 100% certainty. For all we know tomorrow gravity *could* stop working, we can only make a model that fits or doesn't fit observations. What almost every climatologist agree on is that there *is* climate change, and that the current observations do not fit any model

Well, I was talking by memory. The point was that we're over anything there's been before.

I thought I did, but it doesn't look like it's in the right place, and I don't think that'd slip by production. More likely a reflection or something

Too bad there's no COTD in io9

My external HD's cable doesn't have any USB symbol. And the manufacturer's logo is facing UP.

Sorry, I was talking by memory.

I hate Georg Lukács.

Hey, my son may be a whore, but he's not dirty. He had a shower last week, and even washed his hair that time

I don't know, people are supposed to stay there forever, not for a short time, it wouldn't be exactly good for morale to have them in barracks, and I don't know how possible it would be to have a building block without all the previous infrastructure that allows to bring building materials

The idea would have been good a while ago, when people only listened to your music by buying the album and only searched you to download the album. Being unsearchable is not such a good idea these days

If you're saying what you read, you should really discriminate what you read, and choose stuff written by scientists. There's only controversy between people who sell more news when there's controversy, and between people who think both sides deserve the same coverage, regardless of the qualifications or data used by

The problem is Poe's law.

I've seen those geological records. They end before the Industrial Revolution. The current levels of CO2 are about 50% higher than they have ever been in those geological records.

No, it's not.

Look again at that ice core sample levels of CO2 (Vostok) somebody has used to convince you. Notice how it stops before 1900. Now look up the current levels of CO2 in the same place.

I thought about that a while ago, but not for so evil purposes. If I ever start a band it's going to be called "The" or something unsearchable like that
