"Courtney Stodden says she has "some sexy things" planned for Valentine's Day."
A lot of my lady friends did that in college. I had friends give up carbs, dairy, and one gave up eating breakfast. As if god and the church are really worried that your cheerio consumption is making you wicked.
I look at it more like she is trying enact social change by calling attention to the harmful ways when are treated in society and to get people to realize that these actions are wrong. Not that these shirts shouldn't exist because they are 'triggering,' but because they condone treating women poorly..
I used to work in the domestic violence field and there are services that offer assistance to abused men. The hard thing as that, since many men do not report this abuse or seek assistance, there is a low need for these services, which is why you see so many more for women. MRAs often complain about this, but honestly…
I think they mean Laura's friend was at the show, and heard Stan going on about his ex (to Whitman?), and Whitman was annoyed by this. I am not alone in often being confused by the wording in some Jez articles but I'm never sure if it's just me not having enough coffee yet or what.
Well maybe they were protested that the animals were not treated humanely through testing, it says they are protesting the "cruelty," and that the research did not improve human hearing. (Not sure how much credit I want to give PETA for that fact, but I'm not going to bash someone for trying to make research animals…
It's so cute
I feel the same way!
It sounds like my type of people (and I live in East Bay so maybe that's why!) but writing it out in that cutesy style is THE WORST!
Can I just say I REALLY hate it when people talk about "well-groomed" in connection to someone's vag? It makes me feel like a show dog. If you're showered and clean hair is not inherently "dirty" at all and discussing it like that makes me feel sick.
Was that the one where she had a birthday party that no one showed up to? I feel weirdly obsessed with their ages because to be it was reassuring to be as a youngin' that they could still be so fun and fashionable in "middle age." Now that I'm 30 myself I appreciate it even more.
It still seems weird to be. I thought when the show started in the mid-90s they were like early-mid 30s? So ten years later Carrie turns 40...but 10 years earlier they would be early 20s? I feel like the show skipped over a lot of Carrie's early 20s and she makes a lot of references to the crazy 80s and shit she…
If I remember right I think in the movie she was supposed to be getting married at 40. Samantha turned 50 and that was a whole thing. Also I remember one episode near the end where Charlotte turned 37 and it was also a whole thing. I do feel this timeline is kind of...off though
I think I'm not caught up on SATC backstories but did Carrie really have a sister? I thought she had a lot of only-childness? And major dad issues? Also this is dumb but I liked Carrie's hair on SATC because it was always so crazy and out of control, this teen's hair looks just super styled and OOOH CURLY. I can't…
Those "true sex stories" are so hilariously just exaggerated versions of the star's personas, it's pretty funny, they should do one for everyone in Hollywood.
I remember hearing she was also a writer for the Onion, if that is true..
I know who you're talking about and she is batshit! She can write well, but she goes into paragraphs and paragraphs screaming about different ways people are jealous and their lives are worthless because they were like, "Kristen Stewart, eh not my favorite."
(just realized I am commenting more on the serving industry in general being a place where women are "exploited," as the article said, not about tipping culture in general. Which, for me, since I live in California and servers get paid mandatory minimum wage is less of a concern for me. Although I do always tip well,…
Honestly as a former server I think it depends on the establishment. Chain restaurants, nice local places, or upscale place, as long as you are polite it should be fine! Grimy dive bar with rude servers and worse, suspiciously rude cooks...I would be wary.
But sometimes in this economy, if you're unemployed you need to take what you can get. Last summer when I was laid off I applied EVERYWHERE, and since I had serving and bartending experience I had better luck with those jobs than, say, a line cook. Also I would say similar, low-skill jobs like retail are pretty much…
