You can easily enough find the figures for attempted suicides as well as successful suicides - the rates are still far lower than the national average. So, no, not cause of nets.

I don't get it... suicide rates for Foxconn employees are significantly lower than the Chinese national average (and in fact lower than the US national average). So why does everyone seem to target them for this, and blame the suicides on poor working conditions?
The suicide rate for Foxconn employees is significantly lower than the Chinese national average. Heck, it is significantly lower than the US national average. Why should they be labeled as "the company that literally works its people to death", except by nosy westerners who don't investigate the facts?
Really? So explain this: In China, the suicide rate is around 20 per 100,000 people. For Foxconn employees, in its worst year ever (2010), the suicide rate was approx. 1.5 per 100,000 employees (most years it has been far less than that).
The fact of the matter is, when you have anal sex you are less likely to wear a condom because you aren't worried about pregnancy.
HIV is equally likely to be found in homosexual and heterosexual donors
I want to start out by saying that I totally agree that this rule is inappropriate today, now that we have more reliable ways of avoiding HIV infected blood. And I agree that the lifetime ban is ridiculous. But I also want to take issue with a couple of points in the article...
Ikea's Galant system is great. They used to sell a computer holder that attached under the Galant which made it even better. Just a couple of days ago I went to buy another Galant desk + computer holder, only to find they've discontinued the computer holder! A real shame.

Hard to ever say this kind of thing without sounding like a bit of a dick...
Well damn, and I've been working all week on my entry.

So did he travel on a visa waiver rather than getting the actual athletes visa before he travelled? I expect that's why he was refused entry.
"It's racist because it just smashes together a bunch of asian cultures for no reason other than 'it looks good.'"
Sadly it seems we have completely forgotten the real meaning of the word "racist", diluting it down to something trivial and irrelevant.
If only Hong Kong were in Japan ... I might grasp what you're getting at :)
Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Surprising and disappointing.
Translation: "I didn't misspeak. I meant exactly what I said, and exactly what people thought I meant. But I got a phone call from Valve legal department reminding me of my contractual obligations of confidentiality, threatening legal action, and saying that if I ever wanted to work for them again, I better do my best…
Took me over a year to get around to buying ME3. Hated that you could only get it through Origin. Hated what I'd heard about the ending. And it had been so long since I'd played ME1 and 2 I had kind of lost interest - particularly as I figured I needed to go back and play them first before playing ME3 to get back into…
