It’s more an “enemy of my enemy” sort of situation.  I can’t imagine siding with Disney in almost anything, but damn if DeSantis didn’t find a way.

Disney has ALL the power here. Republicans always talk about “jobs jobs jobs” yet he is trying to punish a company because they didn’t like his bigotry. If Disney goes, the other theme parks will be severely affected, because there is less of a reason to to to Florida in the first place.

Ron’s only interest is in using this as a national platform so he can run for president. He could care less about Florida or what Disney does.

I would like to see the numbers of those who go to Florida to visit Disney World but put in a side trip to Sea World, Legoland, Universal, etc. vs those who go to Florida to visit Sea World, Legoland, Universal, etc. with a side trip to Disney World. I think you know the answer to that. All of those other parks exist…

Disney is not in a position of power here. If they go nuclear and just pick up and leave, you can guarantee that another brand will just snap up the real estate and make it an extension of their own parks.

God it would be awesome if they just closed the Disney World gates and said “enjoy your 75,000 additional unemployment applications.”
