Punk is not a world class mixed martial artist, but he’s still a world class athlete. You may not like wrestling personally, but you have to be an incredible athlete to do what pro wrestlers do.

Again, it’s a serious sport...except when it’s not. Just like all of them. It’s why baseballs are somehow “more aerodynamic,” despite the fact that many purists love 2-1 pitchers’ duels. It’s why the NFL has the game slanted so heavily in favor of offensive players that. It’s why the three pointer was instituted in

“Anyway, the Jackson-Punk fight was inexplicably given a spot on UFC 225's pay per view card, ahead of actually good bouts featuring contenders like Curtis Blaydes and Claudia Gadelha.”

I’m glad they’re finding success, but all I really want from DONTNOD is a Remember Me sequel.

Come on, Capcom, they’re willing and able. Let’s get it done.

Twin Mirror is a new game coming from Dontnod, makers of Life is Strange and Vampyr. The mystery thriller was announced today on Sony’s pre-E3 showcase livestream with a trailer showing early footage of the game which is slated to release in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The difference between Warhammer Fantasy (Chaosbane) and Warhammer 40K (in the article) is essentially Lord of the Rings vs Star Wars. So, pretty disparate in their tone, but both intriguing in their own ways.

Abercrombie has some of the best characters in fantasy, at least in the First Law books. What he did with Glotka is genius. I read The Blade Itself when it came out and was not overly impressed.

I’ve enjoyed all of those that you mentioned and the Unhewn Throne series (Earwa is new to me though so I’ll check it out). They all have their issues though, you can’t deny that.

The tropes didnt bother me. I enjoyed the series overall I guess but by the end of the last book I literally hated all 3 of the siblings. By the end I only cared about the birds and Gwenna.

Oh, you could have saved us some time by just stating up front that you have terrible taste.

This is the comment I was more or less looking for as I need to have context (what else do you like) when someone recommends fantasy. I love the writing style of Morgan and Abercrombie and they’ve become my benchmark for well-written characters, interesting world-building, and subverted tropes. I also really like

Hopefully working on Guild Wars 3!

What, even if you tend to JRPGs, at least mention Planescape: Torment! Setting and characters are still some of the best around.

I’m speaking to a broad point here. While I certainly have preference for the raw visuals of the original version, I acknowledge that the remake can look pretty nice in some places. A bit less so in others.. If you’re interested in a closer reading of the text itself, the first thing I ever did on YouTube was a really
