M-o-o-n! That spells Hodor!

Polywater. It's hilarious how much fiction used it and how not real it turned out to be. Also, that TV Tropes is actually one of the most useful, and thorough, resources out there.

Why Contact made such a great movie about science: she spends years scrounging resources for experiments that don't work, she spends too much time begging for money that never comes, she finally gets a break and the results still stink, the big discovery finally comes and...the mentor who crapped on her project steals

Around these parts we call that an upgrade.

Best part of the video by far: "Director? Brett Ratner." Oh inflection, you make everything more fun.

I've never got this stigma against actors doing a role purely for money. Don't we all do things we don't particularly enjoy for money? The brain is "nothing more than" a self-organizing criticality, the universe "nothing more than" a black hole generator (see the recent io9 article). It says that these things are mundane and not worth a great hurrah, as

JUST PUT HIM IN CHARGE OF DC MOVIEVERSE ALREADY. YEESH!

How much more evidence do they NEED!????

Anyone else ever notice that Westeros is basically just upside-down Ireland?

Wow. I guess some of your sentences end with a missing period

No, THIS is a transformer space shuttle.

I think my phone caught this virus back in the early 00's…
