@Tech-Ninja: Boy... I'll bet you're glad that the old "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" maxim doesn't hold true, in your case, eh? Yikes!

Amen. Amen. And, oh, yeah... did I say, Amen?

@VidarSilkworm: Yeah, yeah... gimmee a break. Mac users have long talked about how trouble-free are their machines, and how impervious to malware they are. Such talk usually evidences the utterer's utter technological cluelessness.
@Coffenated: Don't be offended by this, okay? But if you have to ask what you've asked, then the answer to "will using a live Ubuntu cd actually help me get inside Windows to see the problem" is "no." Sorry. You're not, I can tell by the question, sufficiently expert. I'm not saying you're stupid or anything like…
@J553738: Unfortunately, you've not given enough information. It might seem, to some, like you have; but in my 35 years of experience helping people with problems like yours, I've learned not to assume that what I might mean if I write things like "bios screen won't even boot up," or "hear the harddrive start to…

No, @Sandrockcstm, the key word is "profiling"... specifically, "racial profiling." It's either wrong, or it isn't. And, believe me, it's wrong. Always. Period.
Submitting ANYTHING to Google is a pointless endeavor. It is a company which simply doesn't listen, and doesn't care. As with Microsoft, if there were a way to avoid using it altogether, I'd not give it a second look. But, alas, the folks at Google realize how effectively they've made their products and services…
I'm an old guy, so it should surprise no one that I've not had a truly "smart" smartphone for very long. Honestly, I still believe that a guy with a notebook computer with 2G/3G connectivity for Internet, and a Motorola V180 flip phone for... you know... BEING A PHONE, is probably all he needs, all things considered.…

@EternalCharax: I agree with the basic "best" vs "most popular" differentiation; though I don't even know where to go with parsing to the point of "most popular contender for Best Android Phone." Yikes! [grin]
IE9 sucks least of all IE versions, I think. But it's still troublesome. And nagging. And sometimes slow. And so I agree that it's not for power users...
To @Paradise02: Firstly, it doesn't seem to help; and, secondly, I don't know if you've ever noticed, but decaf doesn't hold-up in a took-all-day-long-to-get-through pot. It turns awful and undrinkable far faster than regular coffee. Would you like me to explain why? [grin]
