I really think for obvious head injuries teams should be allowed a free sub. The limited subs really adds to the pressure for a player to return when they really shouldn't. Will teams abuse it? Anyone that thinks goalies should be “fair game” outside the crease needs to watch this. A relatively small bump (as compared to a full speed check) is all it takes for the goalie’s mask to go flying off. Masks are designed for deflecting pucks, not taking body blows.

I failed at setting the old school spring traps for about an hour. I was afraid of getting my fingers slammed, so I kept messing it up. Lifting up the bait station with a butter knife while I set the spring was key.

Ejecting the players from the game is a step in the right direction, but players are going to continue to throw these types of hits until you suspend them for 3+ games. It’s the only way to get the message across.

Per unified rules of MMA, “Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck” is not allowed. Also, a DDT would essentially give your opponent side control, which is one of the worst positions to end up in.
