My brother watches this show... it just seems plain awful to me. Badly written, no tension, no interesting themes; pointless, gratuitous, meandering events; stupid reactions of 2D characters you don't care a jot about. It's vaguely trying to be Lost and totally failing.

What if it contains cool stuff like the Beatles or bouncy castles?

Africa.

Was this written in English?

No... that would be because they're big.

Really interesting stuff. I've wondered before whether flies experience the world differently.

Great stuff, thank you.

I don't think it was fear of the unknown as much as it was not being bothered to live in a freezing wilderness feeding wolf cubs.

Uhuh.

"Structural cells"..? You're going to have to specify what exactly you're talking about...

I have no idea what you're talking about. "Snarky comment about killing people"? You've lost it mate.

What do you mean by "matter with no known computational functions"? Are you basically talking about anything which is not directly involved with pumping ions or neurotransmitters?

Surely the half life is going to depend on all kinds of physical factors?

lol, this article explained nothing.

Cool story.

Er... no they aren't. There's a difference between an assumption and a contingency. It's not even a subtle academic distinction, we're talking about common parlance. Here's a link to help explain what the word "dependent" means:

Er... but when did Penrose ever claim that his PhD in physics was what made him qualified to talk about this? You're just debunking your own fallacy.

Okay?

  • End user breaks something.

I actually agree with what you were saying about the theory being questionable; I was just pointing out that Penrose is indeed qualified to talk about quantum physics. In any case being a mathematician certainly wouldn't have precluded this - most theoretical physicists are mathematicians. As to whether his
