I much prefer linearity in an FPS - or rather, creative and well crafted arenas within a linear framework. I played Far Cry 3 for the first time yesterday, and totally lacked compulsion. I just gave up out of boredom after an hour or so.

Why do you believe that global warming predicts that the globe will warm by a constant amout each year? It simply doesn't. Climate is on small timescales a stochastic phenomenon and so there will be some variability - the line will wobble rather than be straight, though will still have a clear underlying trend.

Yes but the ice isn't hovering above the planet. It's floating in the sea and it actually takes up more volume per unit mass than water does, so the melting isn't going to cause significant sea level rise.
