I remember commenting at the time the trailer came out that her clothes really were an embarrassing stereotype and basically ruined any pretentious the game had towards being serious art. It was that transparently puerile. And this is coming from somebody who's usually hacked off by feminists.
I think the twinge of annoyance comes from the claim that America 'is' an experiment, not 'was'. It suggests a stereotypical American delusion about the contemporary state of the globe, in which there are dozens of developed democracies, many of which are more socially and/or economically free than the US itself.
Yeah, ironically in the very paragraph that he was lamenting how some US states are 'breaking clean off', Narcisse lives up to his namesake and shows a hilarious ignorance of the fact that the US isn't a floating island, either.
Pretty ironic that the editor of this piece was apparently ignorant of the fact that the US is not actually an isolated floating country either, and that other nations do in fact have the internet and read Kotaku.
Basic comprehension abilities? You're the one who imagined, out of thin air, that somebody was making a "judgement", when all they said was that they found somebody hot. Can you seriously not tell the difference between commenting on somebody's physical attractiveness and judging somebody as a person?
Finding somebody attractive isn't shallowness.
I find it sad that you felt obliged to point out that she's intelligent and such.
Thank goodness we have people like you to police these scumbag humans who have the gall to find other humans attractive.
Why would anybody want to look at a fat person? Fat people are gross and they should feel gross.
What are you talking about? No, you don't have to be attractive to have social skills.
Yes. The person doing it has social skills, is attractive, and is a female. This is huge news.
It would have been so easy to prove me wrong, and yet you refused to.
Stop lying, you haven't described my point anywhere.
I've never played this series and I really don't care either way.
If it weren't for our freedom and guns, America would be just like every other country in the world: unable to make our own sushi.
Yes, other reviewers lie. This is really news..? Have you not noticed the massive adverts for the games which IGN reviews splashed all over the IGN site? You think they're impartial?? Editors have been fired from these sites before for giving lukewarm reviews to heavily advertised games.
I just call myself an egalitarian. I don't call myself a feminist for the same reason that feminists don't call themselves masculists.
Yep, still refusing to describe what my original point was.
Are you seriously this dumb? Has the debacle with Sim City passed you by? You'd rather read a review which was actually just a lie from a shill than one which 1. actually tells you the truth about the quality of the single player, and 2. bases their review of the multiplayer on the product available at launch rather…
