I'm not going to make any friends here, but I remember when I discovered that hating Dane Cook was a "thing," and I felt . . . confused. I could buy that a prostitute had a bad trip and ran screaming to the neighbor's house that someone was trying to kill her. I do not buy that a relatively short time afterward she removed her clothes, placed them inside her purse, and accidentally drowned next to ten other murder victims.
Oh, I think the gender reversal in this case is funny the same way that it was in the "Cacao" episode of Portlandia. The gender reversal provides a context, and that's it.
Were her jeans found in the same purse? Her jeans floated right alongside her purse?
