I would be interested in the necessary control experiment of a blind study where men respond to the same participants without access to information about other men's reactions. Don't we need that data to conclude anything from this study, or am I misunderstanding something? Otherwise, how can we say for certain that

After Christmas, I was listening to an album from 2009 called Dead Man's Bones that I loved- had bought on a whim at Vintage Vinyl. Got home and googled to find out more about it and it's RYAN FRACKING GOSLING, y'all! He's singing with the Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir, and it's amazing, creepy lyricism.

In a word: no.

@yaylo: Aaaaaaaaaand my first laugh of the day goes to yaylo.

There's a line in Goldman's The Princess Bride, when Buttercup emerges from her room after the supposed death of Westley and the addition of sorrow to her already beautiful features made her "the most beautiful woman in the world." @MegiEr: I agree. But when I have been in love, happiness was not of concern, it just was. Its presence gave me the confidence to cultivate it.

@Lemerveilleuxchef: I'm a single mom, and my daughter's father chose not to marry me because he wasn't in love with me. We spent a lot of unnecessary time exploring similar issues, because sharing a child with someone is a compelling distraction from the bottom line.

I'm every woman. They're all in me.

Maybe he's just not in love with the mother of his child. It happens.

It looks like she's keeping a matching extra ruffle in her gift bag.

@parapluie: Yay! +1 for a St. Louis Jezzie meetup!

@snugbug: Awesome. Hearted.

Like my man Thich Nhat Hanh says, "you don't really need to suffer to have compassion- just like a doctor; he does not have to have suffer the same disease as his patient, and yet still he can help."
