It throws you into the deep end with exploration even in the first hour.  More than even Super Metroid, it leaves you flailing in the wind with only your wits to orient you.  And I mean that in the best way possible.

I'd say homage rather than copy.  It looks distinctly different.  As for the name... I mean, you could probably find a thousand robots with similar names that are acronyms made into real names.  That's about as generic robot as it gets in sci-fi.

I think nostalgia in the way you describe is just a barrier to enjoyment. Letting the fondness of youth stand in the way of new experiences is exactly why so many gamers are unhappy with anything other than their classic favorites. I’m not going to sit here and tell you what games are the best and which you should

To me, complaining about the mood in a Metroid game feels disliking a steakhouse because they cook the broccoli wrong. And we are now on a 3 game streak of side-scrolling Metroids that are narratively janky, so if I could finish Fusion, I’m pretty sure I can deal with this. So far, I’m not seeing anything that doesn’t

I see a lot of the criticism of the music but... I’ve never found metroid music to be entertaining or memorable. I’m a huge fan of the franchise but I don’t even notice the music while I’m playing

I commented as much above, but having sunk a good many hours in already, I am in complete disagreement with the reviewer on that regard. I am all about the atmosphere.

Going to lean in here and make note to anyone reading that the biggest criticism of this game is an entirely subjective one.

I honestly can’t understand why anyone ever thought it was going to be open world. Nothing in any of the trailers have given me that impression. I really don’t get why gamers now see “attractive vista” and immediately think it means open world. There are countless games that have nice looking shots overlooking a cliff

Nostalgia isn’t the only factor. Nintendo is legitimately very different from Sony and Microsoft. Even their so-called iron grip is often a misplaced attempt to respect their characters and property. They’ve eased up some from the days of the 80s where the idea of indie development sent them to court, shutting down

In have glasses starting at 15 bucks and people still hate me for that price. People don’t get that glasses are custom made. While sold in masses they still need to be produced for every single customer. Main reason why progressive lenses are as expensive as they are. They are NOT just some plastic standard things

Can’t say without a doubt, as there are black sheeps on the market. But if they are not assholes then yes. Sounds like am upgrade to something like an aspheric lense which has more sharpness overall (especially the outsides) or just an anti-reflection, which would reduce the reflected light from 10 to 0.5%, making the

I dislike Kingdom Hearts, I loathe Sora. He’s a hideous little goblin and his Ronald McDonald clown shoes to cover them. His entire design is terrible, as is his characterization and voice. He won’t be a boon to Smash and I would honestly be fine with literally any other character. Even another Kingdom Hearts

Then there are the multiplayer games which, while available on multiple platforms, I’ll still play on Switch. Portability means these anticipated games can be taken anywhere...”

Your logic can be applied to literally any game. Who cares about Breath of the Wild 2? It’s just a sequel to another game in a niche genre that tens of millions of people don’t care about.

So are you saying I didn't waste my money when I paid the extra $50 for the superior "HD" lenses?  It sounded a little bit like a scam, but vision is important enough to me that I'd rather spend $50 extra if the lenses are legitimately going to be better, so I went ahead and did it.

This game is not good.  I wanted it to be, but it's not.  It does look decent and it has some systems that aren't bad, but the actual gameplay is as auto/monotonous as it could be.  Just the same as any other mobile MMO.  Boring, bad, unfun.

I’d recommend looking into how the community is reacting to this update, because it’s almost entirely negative. Reading through the top Reddit threads ATM should give you a good idea.

8k is still so stupid. Most people absolutely cannot tell the difference between 4K and 8k and tv makers are still going to push 8k as the next big thing and people will buy in even though at the price most 8k tvs retail at you can probably get a 4K tv that that blows it out of the water.

Most of the negative reviews are just people angry that MMOs have packed servers on launch day. The scramble is particularly large here because names are global and account locked, so once you secure a name.. no one else in the world can have it.
