Never having seen Gundam Unicorn, I can see from the images that this extends the universe onward from the original Mobile Suit: Gundam (a.k.a. Gundam '79). Are there cameos from other MSG installments, or is this merely what comes after the Amuro Ray saga?

What's not to love about consistency? Ghibli already has the nostalgia factor going for it, every time you stumble upon a Studio Ghibli movie you've never seen before becomes a new trip back to another time. =]
