Update: I’ve now watched it all the way through 3 different times, and cried a little bit every single time. I truly pity people who see this and feel nothing but a desire to show how much better they get feminism, or how interesting they are because they have a contrary opinion.

“You’re asking the wrong person” is the one accurate thing he said. Too bad there wasn’t an actual reporter there to take the easy way out that it offered.

I agree that there’s a whole conversation there, but I wouldn’t say it’s separate. The “In Training” text necessarily seems to make it subordinate (to the “boy’s” version) because of all the connotations of pink, especially a pastel shade like that.

All fair enough, but it’s bullshit that they made it ballerina pink.

Teach Me How to Understand Christmas is so brilliant. I cry laugh until I get a headache every time.

Considering the all-lady remake, I’m not even giving them that much.

I’m 34 and she’s right. Cutefied logos are NOT real.

Daddy loves bloodsport, so it fits, more or less!

You have misplaced your baggage. This is a perfectly common way of describing dance, going back centuries even. You’re going to have to pick a fight about intentional choices made by black writers another day.

I love me forever!

If anyone finds a video of the full performance that you don’t need to be in the US to watch, I will love you forever.

Nah, they both had long-awaited releases this year.

I know those of us who benefitted are pretty happy about The Following. This is a friendly reminder that the power of ungraying is a wonderful thing, but is best put to use by not engaging with bored/boring contrarians who are clearly starving for attention.

I think when dealing with the outright lying and bigotry of this campaign, which most news outlets even now mostly lets pass without further questions, it’s worth at least trying to help those who don’t already have a totally solid grasp on the fucked-upedness. And the amount of citation in this one speech was

I get you, I do. But in this case, she’s speaking accurately about Trump’s candidacy and that in itself is a relief. I’m still not excited to vote for Hillary, and I am sure I’ll never be, but I really appreciate this speech.

I hope this happens, and together with a majority Democrat House they pass some locked and ate the key legislation protecting all uterus-related medicine.

Which why in this case it’s called an abortion.
