@philosopher_dog: I'll agree, though, that an article about the effects treatments/processing would be interesting if balanced by when it is and isn't needed and why. Here in Hawaii there is a big concern about invasive species of critters, molds and plants destroying aspects of our unique ecosystem.

Oh, if you come to Hawaii it may pay off to see about flying into Honolulu International Airport and then taking an inter-island flight from Hawaiian Airlines. Booking straight to the island of your choice can push up the price significantly and you'll have to get onto the same transfer flight (with some exceptions).

There are some interesting reasons to use or not use this technique. I just think it's sad that airlines gouge their customers so that this is even works. I live in Hawaii and can guarantee you it's cheaper to fly here, round trip, from anywhere than it is to fly from here, round trip.

@EracMan: I think they're taking the Apple route on hardware. A smaller selection of hardware to support allows for less troubleshooting. Since it's OSS, though, a fork will pop up with more robust hardware support at some point.

Low price, books, smaller than normal keyboard, "safe" apps and Apple makes it. This isn't targeted at "us", it's targeted at those with kids.

I like audio books and there's the free stuff from iTunes University. Still, zoning out to the radio in traffic, done safely, is just a bit less zoning out you need to do later. Don't put off goofing off. It's important to let your brain filter :)

Looks fun, but I can get a netbook and accessorize it for less. I'm waiting on what the mod community can unleash from the hardware and will make decisions then. I'll consider one when the next iteration comes out. Until then my eyes will stay open, especially for what the competition brings out later this or next…
