That's anecdotal evidence. I've bought two 360's, one for my man cave and one for the living room, so that's two sales for MS vs. your one sale for Sony. Does that make MS twice as happy or Sony twice as mad??

Have you ever used a touch screen remote control? While the idea is really neat, you find yourself taking your eyes off the tv more so you can actually see what you're trying to do on the touchscreen controller. This is what I see happening with the gamepad, you look down and it takes you out of the game long enough…

Maybe "next-gen" for Nintendo. The Wii came out so underpowered that it really wasn't current with the technologies of the 360/PS3. Just because the Wii-U is "next" after the Wii doesn't mean it's a powerhouse of any sort. I fully expect the "next" Xbox and PS to (spec wise) smoke the Wii-U.

While a a/v component doesn't need to be big and gawdy, I can see why the manufacturer would want it to look........unique. It grabs someones attention and they say "hey, what's that?".
