I do not support banning the Nazi flag. It’s distasteful, and you’re an asshole if you use it. Additionally, if you directly incite violence, as in saying “we should kill/remove/etc. X” then that is different. But you are correct, I do not support banning the Nazi flag.

America isn’t censoring anything. The governments have taken flags off public land, yes. But they have not banned anything, or confiscated anyone’s flag. Apple is just trying to ride a wave of idiot PR.

Taking the confederate flag down from state-owned land is a good idea, and I support it.

No one is banning the flag. No government agency has removed a single flag from private property. People who say “the flag is being banned” or “should be banned” are fucking morons. The former is wrong. The latter doesn’t

Nah, it’s cool. If someone you love dies just press L+R+Start+Select.

There’s this new technique called hyperbole, which is used in this case to express, sarcastically, disapproval of repeatedly rebooting the same thematic concepts so rapidly.

And you’re relying on the archaic idea that “corporations are evil, man” to justify selfish desires. How are the 60s treating you?

Jesus Christ, what is this? The 12th reboot in the last 4 years?

Where to begin breaking down that horrible analogy?

1) Libraries aren’t selling books. They are typically public buildings. Borrowing from the library isn’t the same as buying a book.

2) Media isn’t about the raw medium it is printed, stamped, burnt, etc. on to. It’s the intellectual property. Making a copy is, in this

There’s also nothing ambiguous about stealing shit that isn’t yours.

A great inside joke is that the twins in the trailer look very very similar to the Community Manager, Eric Musco.

So appealing to a larger audience is a bad idea, and suggesting it makes me flawed.

Got it. Projection, much?

“I’m saying streamlining or “chopping away the fat” or whatever this kind of thing is called isn’t always the best option.”

But sometimes it is.

Woah woah woah woah woah.

Woah.

Removing guns appeases people who need their hand held?

How the hell did you get from removing guns to hand holding?

Are you using the whole “linear = bad” fallacy? Portal 2 is linear, it doesn’t hold your hand. There’s only one way to clear each level. It doesn’t hold your hand.

In fact,

It is when someone is trying to sell a product.

Tough. The game’s not for you. Not every game needs to appeal to you, and you represent a microscopic number of people who are excited for this game.

Also, it’s actually a debate tactic, based on the Socratic method, that is to present someone with an absurd, easily rejectable option. Why? Because then you can deduce why it’s absurd, and then bring that reasoning back to the main argument.

I admit, it was less than well executed. The idea, however, is to note that

Prove to me that Faith can’t fart rainbows.

So...here’s the point where a) I have to disagree strongly it led to interesting player decisions. And, b) I have to stress that player options don’t exist until a game is made. This isn’t a sequel, this is a reimagining. This game is years old at this point.

I’m pretty sure from trailers, standing and fighting is an

All games take away player options. I can’t fly in Mirror’s Edge. Why can’t I fly? I want to fly! You’re taking away player choice to fly! Why can’t I be a fire-breathing Force-wielding unicorn? PLAYER CHOICE!!!

Instead of banning me from using the Force in Mirror’s Edge, let me choose not to use it.

Why is that statement ridiculous? It’s the same reason the assumption that you should be allowed to use guns is.
