I said this the other day in the other article — it applies equally to everyone talking about how F2P developers are bad:
"Dude, if you need parental supervision to make sure you don't act like an immature little shit-heel you shouldn't be allowed access to M rated games." — So I suppose you'd be in favor of a law that makes it illegal for stores to sell M-rated games to minors? Sorry, bro, but the Supreme Court already struck that shit…
"So all the women who experience misogyny on a regular basis are wrong?" — No. The ones who complain about misogyny without actually experiencing it are wrong.
" But it's clear to me that there isn't such a thing among a significant portion of the male population. If you are the exception, great. But let's be honest that a lot of misogyny is still out there and it should be confronted." — I am not *the exception*... most guys are respectful to women for the most part, just…
"The thing I find funnier is how we raise our boys and men to be incapable of treating women equally." — Speak for yourself. I along with all my friends were raised right. I have a great wife and there's plenty of mutual respect in our relationship.
I also defend the consumer's right to decide what they purchase.
I'm not trying to help you, nor am I trying to "set you straight"...
$3 is an exorbitant amount for a video game? Gimme a break. It's a completely realistic price point for a game. It's not like he's charging $50 for a mobile game or anything. You'd spend more for a beer at a restaurant than you would on that game, and you'd probably get a lot more enjoyment out of the game too.
No, it really wouldn't be just fine with you...
"I do not put a lot of time or effort into anything." — No kidding.
I was interested where this was going at the beginning.
For me, it's Street Fighter.
That video made this game look like a non-scary version of the Eternal Darkness mansion section.
One of these days you'll put a lot of your time and effort into something, and then somebody will come along and steal all that time and effort from you. When that happens, I want you to think back to what you just said.
<To the cops, after someone busts into your house and steals one of your t-shirts>
What the fuck are you talking about? People charge more for nicer homes because they cost more to make. People charge more for nicer cars because they cost more to make. People charge more for nicer meals because they cost more to make. People charge more for nicer TVs because they cost more to make. People…
To everybody asking why so many devs make freemium titles instead of just selling the full game:
You don't have to spend money at all on a freemium game if you're patient enough to wait for your energy-timer to refresh or to manually skip through ads. You only have to put in money if you want to buy something. That's why it's called "free"mium.
