I kind of agree to your last point. A lot of the career/work articles seem to be for management and up- not really very useful for anyone in a cube or looking for ways to find something new/better themselves. And the How I Work series was nice and all but it was more, "I can't use any of that but it's nice to know

I think the movie thing has changed. I've used passes from Costco to see movies on day one and haven't been charged anything extra. Could just be the theater though.

I was expecting a long piece as to why the game was going to fail and was met with a literal empty room. I shouldn't try to read before 9 am...

It's such a good game that people forget about! The level slider was one of my favorite parts of battle. Chaining like 6 battles together while the slider was down to like... Lv. 5 was super fun.

I've noticed that about so many episode of Seinfeld. Like when Kramer was arrested for murder and Jerry and George had to stop at a payphone and also didn't know how to get anywhere in LA.

It may work out! Also, multiple stands may have the same figure so you can also comparison shop too~!

On my Android tablet I either use Dropbox to put what I want on it or just load the files onto my SD card and pop that sucker into the tablet.

$200 would be good if you buy food with debit/credit. I usually bring $300 and end up only spending ~$200 since I pay for food with my debit card (off site. Con food is like stadium food. Expensive and not great.) Prices may not be all that low depending on the booth (some may offer lower pricing but most may

I dunno 'bout PAX specifically but:

Some people love being Stop Having Fun guys. The rest of us will happily spend 10 minutes StreetPassing at cons because we can value things like small bits of charming, silly fun.

When you're in line at a convention is when you should do your StreetPass stuff. Chances are you'll fill up your 10 slots over and over just standing in one place. Even just taking your 3DS wherever you go is a good idea. A friend has StreetPassed people in movie theaters and other random outings.

If you read/watched Shaman King or Yu-Gi-Oh you'd at least have a cursory knowledge of it since the authors of both series both like and drew inspiration from JoJo. That said, even I only have the first three volumes of the manga that Viz did so... yeah, there isn't enough of a reason to bring it over here.

I agree but if it's possible that the girls approved the art then I guess it's their decision? If not, then they could have designed the girls to look closer to themselves. Quite frankly I'd like to know more about the girls' involvement in those designs before I judge.

If you know someone who works in travel you can usually end up having a full-on vacation with less hassle. They'll know where to get you the best deals, offer lots of suggestions that you may not have thought of that you could do spur of the moment, help you plan, etc. Or if you visit family they'll usually help you

That's how it is where I work. Zilch when you start, a measly week after a year, and then 2 after 2 years. Then they take 4 days for Christmas so it's almost moot anyway...

For people looking to save a few bucks and maybe kids/elderly folk it's a pretty nice idea. Though that design looks morel like "doorstop" than functional but if it feels good then that's all that matters.

In the office we were just talking about how awful getting to that stadium is. Even if they are 100% trying to attract the tech people in the valley, it's going to be a better stadium simply because you won't have that bottleneck getting off of a bridge.

The place is pressed up against the Bay in the middle of a fog bank and with one freeway exit and no public access except for the notoriously shitty SF bus system.

Localization (or I guess adaptation) was one of the things I was better at when pursuing my major in Japanese. Though times have changed a bit and it's tougher to get into so making it a career is on the backburner for me, but man do I appreciate the hell out of localizers.

I don't even follow football and this whole series is what I look forward to every day. It makes me want to get into football just to see the hot messes in real time.
