You are spot on about the Novice/Standard/Pro set up. This setting should have gone beyond simply changing the HUD. If they had implemented this simple Idea it would have wiped out 90% of my major gripes with the game.

Yeah the main reason the silent realms are scary actually stems from the gameplay mechanics. The audio and aesthetic all contribute to the effect, however the main cause is the fact that you know if you die, you have to start the whole trial again from the beggining.

I completely agree with this, I am on the same cycle. im sure when the 5S comes out they will have ironed out all the inevitable kinks in the i phone 5. I think its good not to have the first Iteration of each model.
