They sold more hardware thanks for CFW, but piracy is the reason why despite having over 75 million PSPs out in the wild, the games didn't sell for shit. Piracy ran so rampant that nobody bothered to buy games at all, and because nobody bought games, developers and publishers stopped bothering. The PSP became known

The lack of full heads leave it looking unfinished, and the mass of empty orange space at the bottom serves no purpose at all, either. Whoever designed this cover needs a few lessons in graphic design, and whoever decided to go with the design needs to rethink their position. That cover isn't going to grab anyone's

I wouldn't even say that I had big hands, but most handheld devices are just agonising. Honestly, after half an hour with them I'm constantly wriggling my fingers because they start to ache and feel uncomfortable, the Vita is the only one with the right size and shape to be held comfortably. I've played it for hours

You know that the memory card format is a deliberate attempt to stave off piracy - the main factor that lead to the PSP failing outside of Japan - right? Using SD cards wouldn't fix the Vita's problems at all, it'd just go a long way to killing it off instantly.

I scoffed as soon as I read the headline, and I knew I'd disagree with the entire article, and sure as hell I did. The first bit that made me disagree enough to stop commenting was;

Winner of "Most Pointless Hardware Revision of All-Time"?

My only complaint was that there was a bit too much backtracking involved. One of the things I liked about it is that it was more Uncharted than Uncharted 2 and 3; it wasn't constant jet-setting in an attempt to cram as many countries and environments into an eight hour romp as is humanly possible. It was more focused

Haha, I couldn't agree more. 2011 had me excited month after month for something I'd pre-ordered! I've only pre-ordered a few games so far this year because there have been so few with that MUST HAVE feeling for me. I've still got a few big ones to go that I can't get yet because I stupidly said I wanted them for

First of all; that Uncharted: Golden Abyss review is still your worst review of the year, followed closely by Dragon's Dogma, Those were two "No" decisions that should've certainly been a solid "Yes".

Thanks for that, it looks like so much fun! I always knew I'd be disappointed by the amount of sheer content within the game, but if I can get hooked to playing online, I'm sure I'll spend hours playing it regardless.

Your opinion's always resonated well with mine, two certain games aside, so I'll definitely have a look into this one when I get the chance. LBP Karting's probably going to come first, though!

What about gameplay modes? I'm seriously hoping that there's a few gameplay modes in there that remove the "Only Supers can kill!" thing.

Are you kidding? Seriously? Nothing to compare it to? You must be kidding, surely.

Those figures sound way, way off when compared to previous sales ratios for the series. As far as I remember, they'll generally sell around 10-14 million, with the 360 version being around two million ahead of the PS3 version.

You brought that one on yourself when you spent a huge amount of money on a system to use it for a function that was never promised to you.

I'd honestly agree with PopTrogdor, the Vita really is the greatest handheld system ever made, without a doubt. Nothing else has come remotely close for me, and I've had more or less every handheld system since the original Gameboy.

It was actually really good. I'll never understand why Kotaku gave it a "No" in their review, that was an absolute disgrace, and easily the single worst review decision I've ever seen on the site. >_>

It was comfortable, yeah, but that's all it had going for it. The D-pad was unusable, it was hurt by having only three shoulder buttons instead of four - for no reason other than to not appear to be copying the competition - and the analog sticks didn't exactly encourage freedom of control.

I'm actually not as bothered by this as I thought I would be. Uncharted: Golden Abyss had by far the best treasure hunting in the series, and this looks like a nice little way to make collecting all that treasure even more worthwhile. Sure, it's not everyone's cup of tea and certainly not what most people expected (or
